Performance Development Squad


Our Performance Development Squad is designed for swimmers who are achieving success at age group level swimming.

There is a further increase in pool sessions with swimmers expected to make a commitment to the sport at this stage to continue their development into youth performance swimmers.

Swimmers also receive weekly outdoor land work and strength and conditioning training to compliment the work that they are doing in the pool.

Swimmers in this group should be aiming to be in Scottish Swimming National Youth squads.

Weekly Pool sessions = 6-7

Weekly Land Sessions = 2

Total Weekly Training Hours = 13-15


Competitions - British Age Groups/Summer meet, SNAGS, Districts, Level 1 and 2 meets, Fife Leagues and Club time trials


Kit required - Swimming cap, goggles, water bottle, kick board, pull buoy, fins, snorkel and hand and finger paddles and ankle strap
