Junior Development Squad


Our Junior Development squad offers longer pool sessions and the introduction of land based training to develop basic athletic movement skills.

This squad begins to teach and train the swimmers more on aerobic endurance and core strength.

Swimmers will still continue to develop all of their strokes and skills but will start to focus on maintaining these skills over longer distances or intensity.

This squad helps to lay the key foundations for the swimmers future aerobic, speed and overall development within swimming.

Weekly Pool sessions = 3-4

Weekly Land Sessions = 1

Total Weekly Training Hours = 7


Competitions - Club time trials, Fife Leagues, Level 2 and 3 meets


Kit required - Swimming cap, goggles, water bottle, kick board, pull buoy, fins and snorkel
